The Homeowner Business Transformation (HBT) is a multi-year project aimed to modernize CMHC’s homeowner mortgage loan insurance business while building a strong foundation for the future. We are exploring various means to enhance the way we work…from the technologies we use, to the way we interact with you.

Insurance Servicing Tools

  • Default Management Request Submission Tool
  • Homeowner Claims Submission Tool
  • Arrears Report Upload Tool
  • User Access Management

As we work towards the development and release of these insurance servicing tools, we aim to offer you a centralized one-stop-shop for all your servicing needs. CMHC’s existing mortgage servicing systems, processes and tools, including emiliCLAIMS, e-mail, fax or vault submission options, will remain enabled throughout this transitional period.

Transactional Insurance — Coming soon

As part of a future release of the Homeowner Business Transformation we are planning to improve client experience through transformed system-to-system lender interactions and a new lender platform for transactional mortgage loan insurance application submissions.

Portfolio Insurance — Coming soon

Some of the work we are planning will include enhancing the digital experience for our clients by modernizing tools and processes associated with underwriting of portfolio/bulk insurance.
