Accessibility refers to the way housing is designed, constructed or modified to enable independent living for persons with disabilities. Accessibility is achieved through design, but also by adding features that make a home more accessible. Features such as modified cabinetry, furniture, space, shelves and cupboards, etc. that improve the overall ability to function in a home.
