
Lorraine Audsley leads a team responsible for CMHC’s proactive risk management practice. Her expertise will help CMHC manage risks so that it is well positioned to support stability in Canada’s housing system.
Prior to joining CMHC in April 2025, Lorraine held various roles at Export Development Canada (EDC) in corporate and structured financing, international trade, risk management and sustainability. This included Chief Risk Officer, where Lorraine played a key role in overseeing EDC's financial, operational and strategic risks, including key functions of compliance and ethics, risk quantification, enterprise risk management, credit adjudication, special loans, risk transfer and portfolio oversight. As Chief Sustainability Officer, she led EDC's ESG strategy, policy, research and reporting functions, seamlessly integrating ESG principles into the organization's business, strategy and corporate culture. Lorraine also served as a Senior Advisor in the Financial Services Sustainability practice at Ernst & Young Canada focusing on climate risk management.
Lorraine has a Master of Finance from the Henley Business School of the University of Reading in England. In 2022, she completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD Business School in France.
